Due to my blog's original influence by Roald Dahl the next post will be looking into some of the food he wrote so excitedly in different texts, stay tuned for giant peaches, chocolate cake and of course Willy Wonka's inventions.

Delving into the beginnings of food within imagination
Notably my title derives from the 1971 film adaptation of Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate factory, more specifically the song "Pure Imagination", to me this scene highlights the pure delight of seeing marvellous creations that was only thought to only belong to the world of the imaginary brought into existence. As a child, like most children did, I dreamt of the long list of snacks, treats and meals conjured up by many authors and I am happy to say it is also something that has stayed with me through childhood and even present within my young adult life. Still I read in bed and am overcome by desiring my own chocolate room, tea party or midnight feast set in front of me. Due to this ongoing desire I want to look into specific texts and attempt some of their 'food of pure imagination', I will be creating my own tea parties, butter beer, edible wallpaper, even my own Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster and more to make the food that delighted my imagination as a child into reality.
